Welcome!

We are The Professional Nanny Association (PNA), formerly known as The Associaiton of Professional Nannies (APN). PNA is an organization for nannies who have made a conscious choice to be "Career Nannies". Our mission is to promote and achieve professionalism in the nanny industry, education in areas related to childhood development, and expertise in our chosen field.

As nannies, we are united in our common goal of providing the very best care for the children entrusted to us. We will strive to create an atmosphere that is safe, loving, nuturing and educational for our charges while supporting our employers in their role as parents.

We believe that high-quality childcare is a long-term investment in the lives of children. The quality of care children receive has a profound impact on their lives, not just as children, but also as adults. The nannies of PNA are stepping up to the task by establishing themselves as professionals, with children being the heart of their careers.

Our History

The Professional Nanny Association was created in June 2007 by Jennie Krogulski to encourage support, networking, child advocacy, pursuit of education in the child development arena, and professionalism within the nanny industry.

We believe that it is imperative for all nanny associations, support groups, and agencies to come together in friendship for the betterment of the industry as a whole, and have pledged to work side by side with other nanny organizations as requested or needed on important issues.

Because we want to meet nannies where they are and be an all-inclusive organization, we do not charge membership fees.  Jennie's business, Hilton Head Nannies, now sponsors PNA so that membership is open to all nannies. However, each member is required to sign a copy of the PNA Nanny Code of Practices Pledge upon joining.

Our Officers
